Dos and Don'ts
Access to the café and museum shop is free of charge, as is the use of our library. Please hang up your coats, thick jackets and bags > A4 format in the cloakroom or store them in the lockers.
Consumption of food and drinks is not allowed in the exhibition rooms. As in all public buildings, smoking is not permitted anywhere in the Suermondt Ludwig Museum. We would ask you to show consideration for other exhibition visitors and refrain from using your phone in the exhibition rooms. Dogs and other pets (with the exception of guide dogs) are not allowed in the exhibitions.
In the permanent exhibition, you may take photographs of the exhibition arrangement, but without the use of flash or tripod. If you wish to photograph individual works of art, please get specific permission at the box office. Photography is not permitted in temporary exhibitions.
If you have any questions, feel free to address our box-office staff or our supervisory staff at any time.
